To celebrate SB19's new EP, Pagsibol—Spotify together with the group collaborated with 6 visual artists (Anina Rubio, Jappy Agoncillo, Ang Gerilya, June Digan, Nelz Yumul, and me!) to create artworks based on their songs to be displayed on different jeepneys.

The song given to me was MAPA and I partnered with Stell to help create the visuals. MAPA is a really nice song with a beautiful message for our moms and dads; literally, it translates to ‘map’ in english, but in the song it’s a combined word for ‘mama’ and ‘papa’.

I really love how their lyric video for the song turned out and so Stell and I decided to base the design off of that. I made use of the existing old world map concept, plotting different points and elements personal to Stell across the universe; like the northern star—which is a great symbol for our parents; Stell’s birthday; his parents’ names; and an open door with lights on to symbolize his parents always welcoming him back home wherever he goes. Trivia: the coordinates point to Las Piñas, his hometown!

Since their EP is titled Pagsibol, i also used that imagery and added some blooming floral visuals to the design. I wanted the whole look to be warm and easy on the eyes; and for it to feel like a warm embrace from our parents. ♡

Super lucky and grateful to be part of this campaign; I had fun seeing and shooting w the other artists involved, especially after sooo long—it was my first shoot since this pan de mie started.
